After having his fill of the Club world, Shannon launched City Lights Music Festival. For three years, City Lights turned the Downtown Grand Rapids into a multi-stage production dance music festival. Not only did he introduce Grand Rapids to global talent such as DINKA, Krafty Kuts, and Darude, but he also supported the very best in local and regional talent. GROOVE CRUISE
Shannon has been a trusted confidant and curator for the Groove Cruise since its inception. Working directly with Jason Beukema, Shannon has been integral in developing the annual line-up, promotional strategies, affiliate program and logistics of the event. This year will mark Shannon's 15th year on the Groove Cruise line-up.
Dance radio
Earlier in his career, Shannon hosted a wildly popular dance radio show. Each and every week his show which was simulcast from a sold out club, and Shannon was given complete autonomy as to what he played. For four hours every Friday night, Shannon introduced tens of thousands of people to new music that they could not hear anywhere else, and with his show consistently pulled a 36+ share cum, other stations, and record labels from around the world took notice.

Shannon reports for Billboard Magazine, and has for a number a years. Each week Shannon is sent promotional copies of new music from record labels from around the world. These labels rely on, and look forward to Shannon's input to help decide which tracks they should move forward with, and which ones they should scrap. Shannon is also a contributor to the Billboard Dance Chart, alongside an elite group of tastemakers such as Dave Aude, Scotty Boy, Marc Stout, DJ Kalendr, Tracy Young, and many more.
BARK IN THE DARK
Not only is Shannon passionate about music, he's also a lover of dogs. For the past five years, Shannon has volunteered his time to spin live at the Grand Rapids Bark in the Dark 5k, where runners and their dogs dress in costume and run to benefit the Humane Society of West Michigan.
